No, it isn't the amount of dirt as much as the fact that it traps anything that is in the environment and there is no way to clean it. God forbid those with pets and small kids. Those with carpet in the bathroom are just nasty.
Some dirt and germs that aren't really even visible at least on my carpet are not going to kill or harm you at all. Whatever. Maybe this is why kids have so many allergies these days? Carpet builds character
Well, zero allergies in my house, and we love hardwoods and hate dirty, gross carpet.
