OP, honestly, do you believe that a 16 year old teenage boy is making art of recyclables? C'mon. If you do, give his parents a call and find out. Because I have a hard time believing in such a project, and if it is going on, that his parents allow him to go through the trash and take liquor bottles home for his project. WOULD YOU?????

I would believe him.
To a fault, my son doesn't lie. Even when he's done something that warrants a punishment. His father is a liar. DS defines himself against his dad in this way.
As long as he tells me the truth, we just work it out. We agree on a punishment and keep it moving.
DD on the other hand...I hardly believe her when she tells me her name. That girl!

Applejack is a brandy. It's 80 Proof, 40% alcohol. If he drank the bottle, he'd have alcohol poisoning. If he drank half the bottle, he'd have trouble staying upright. It also has a very strong smell. He didn't drink it.
