I've had multiple friends who did it in their early 20's because they were self-conscious about it for aesthetic reasons (and these weren't guys who lacked overall confidence or had any problem attracting ladies). I did not envy their pain and recovery period, but I do know they don't regret their decision to circumcise later in life.

The more I read on the topic, the less likely it seems that there are medical reasons for male circumcision.

Circumcision may not be as prevalent as you think.

I would show your husband the actual research about the medical benefits of circumcision. Perhaps have a meeting with a pediatrician and/or a urologist to discuss the facts. But there's no right or wrong here--there are some health benefits to circumcision, but they aren't overwhelming. Stop viewing it like an argument you need to win and start looking at it like an issue that you both need to consider and decide together.

He won't. Fewer and fewer newborn males are cut every year.
