3x/day. Short walks in the morning and after work (she is kind of lazy then), then an hour around 9 or so.
And she's a 4 yo mutt--probably some sight hound in her.

She doesn't like wearing a collar, so a collar was out of the question (because I'm a crazy cat lady). I got her a little mesh shirt that has a ring attacked to the back where we clip the leash. I think the shirt/leash apparatus was made for little dogs. The neighbor's kid is a 12 year old girl, and a neophyte crazy cat lady.

That is awesome! When I lived in Richmond there was a lady who walked her GOOSE and a guy who walked his rabbit on a leash.

Well I'm sure this won't sound great but I have two super happy dogs who are very smart and engaged so whatever lol.
7 year old husky mix and 2 year old terrier mix. They go on walks or a jog or to the park anywhere from 2-4 times a week. Go in the backyard other times. They are very regimented and play with each other a lot in the house. My 2 year old actually doesn't like long walks, gets nervous if you get too far from the house. But she's a nervous nellie.

OP from frozen treat thread. 4yo german shepherd that we've had since puppyhood. He gets 3 walks daily:
-45-60 minutes in morning (on the shorter end if running, which we do a couple times weekly in Rock Creek Park--don't want to overstress his bones)
-25 minutes around noon
-25 minutes around 4 or 5pm
Even with all the exercise, he's still 80-85 lbs! We both work FT but husband is usually home during the day, and I work from home one day per week. Dog also goes to doggy daycare 2-3x/wk.
When he was younger and before we had a kid (<1 year), he occasionally would get up to 3 hours daily. Yes, we're pretty nuts.
Also, our shepherd will not play in our fenced backyard unless we're out there with him. If we let him out, after a few minutes he's back standing on the deck waiting for us to come out. Agree that psychologically dogs do better with walks, which seem to become their "job," especially for the working breeds. He's really relaxed and well-behaved in house after his walks, and has actually never chewed/destroyed anything since we've had him--probably because he's so tired from the walks!

10 year old spaniel mix. 1x per day for 45 minutes or so. Much of it is off leash if it's not super muddy in the woods behind my house. Once or twice per week we'll do something "extra" (a training class, a trip to the dog park, a walk around the lake), and on the weekends we almost always do a several hours long walk/hike.
In her younger days, she'd get 3 walks per day and 1-2 hours at the dog park every day. She was SO high energy! We're about to bring a young'n into our house, and I think I've forgotten how much she's aged and her exercise needs have decreased.

We used to walk our cat, too. He loved it. He wore a harness instead of a collar because he would try to pull out of the collar. Slow going though, that cat walking. Would have appreciated having a smart phone to keep me company.

I have a lab mix and a shepherd mix, 4 and 7.
They get a 10 minute leashed walk on my long work days but when I am off they get an hour off leash in the woods. I do shift work so the get the long walks about 3/4x a week.
