Sadly, don't have my friend's recipe - she is the one who would make it all day and I'd just sous from time to time. But I think you can find some good ones online. I prefer chicken to beef.

Coq au vin is just about my favorite meal but OP said she wanted a lot of prep work. Coq au vin is like 15-20 minutes of prep work and a couple hours of waiting for it to be done.
