Not your gif, I an talking about the 'stop saying babymoon' people. A babymoon could be a long weekend at a cabin. It does not have to be a fancy trip.

That's how I feel. People who are offended by the term are bitter. I'd suggest you keep your eye rolling to yourself. It makes it look like you have no idea how draining pregnancy can be, would rather do anything than enjoy yourself, and don't like to spend time with your husband.

I think it's just that most people get tired of these trendy terms such as Babymoon. It's also like your trying to impress people with the ability to spend money. I for one have a great deal of money and no one would ever realize it based on how I act or live. Try setting a better example to others. Sorry.

http://www.41north.com/ Stay here - in Newport RI. Wander around, get spa treatments. Not a resort/all inclusive, but really lovely, and Newport will have nicer weather in July than DC

The W in Vieques. Easy flights from DC to San Juan, take the little plane to Vieques. Could rent a jeep and explore the tiny island, but the resort is fantastic on its own.

I'd stay away from resorts and their lack luster food options.

I like the idea of going north to escape the crazy heat. B&Bs in New England sounds lovely in July!

I took a trip while pregnant to New Orleans which was AWESOME. The food is incredible. But definitely a terrible idea in July because it's a swamp.

Vacation. And you just happen to be pregnant. NP here and I also agree Babymoon is very attention-seeking when you're talking about it with others. It's one thing to say "Oh, we're taking a vacation - kind of our last hurrah before baby comes, you know?" and to say, "Oh, we're going on our Babymoon." It's trying to make a thing out of something that isn't a thing.

OP, the way you wrote your post and put babymoon in quotes, I totally think you're more likely to actually just call it a vacation in real life. But the term babymoon is annoying.


I feel like you just proved why babymoon IS a good term- to me it's way longer and more annoying to hear "Oh, we're taking a vacation - kind of our last hurrah before baby comes, you know?" Than "babymoon." Just say babymoon. Everybody knows what it is.

Girl, you will not enjoy the Caribbean in July. Too hot & sticky. Find a nice shady spot in Maine or Martha's Vineyard, or even northern California - Santa Barabara, Big Sur, etc.

We went to Jamaica in my second trimester and loved it, but it was January. I probably wouldn't do the Caribbean this time of year as it will be very hot, the resort food was good but not great unless you paid extra, I'm not into virgin cocktails, and I was irritated that all-you-could drink alcohol was included in the resort price but I didn't drink anything.

I would do a beach vacation in North or South Carolina now (specifically, Kiawah/Charleston).



Push present is the absolute worst.
