That was the point. Can't romanticize who he became.

I still loved him. My heart went out to him because he knew he had ruined everything, but still loved his family so much. I will always love Walter White.

+1000 Also admired his bond with Jesse Pinkman, especially in the season finale.

Whoooaaa...I've never heard anyone say they admired or loved Walt in the end.

Well, now you have. Doesn't mean what he did wasn't so, so wrong. But you can still love a flawed human being - especially one who was so regretful over what he did to his family.

This is part of the genius of Vince Gilligan, that we still cared about W.W.

Soooooooo worth it.

It took me about 6 episodes to really get into it.

But now it's one of my absolute favorites.

Keep going! Give it another shot. The later seasons get better and better.

NP here. Maybe I should give BB another shot.

DH and I watched the first season, and we were mostly ambivalent. We had been predisposed to like it (we lived in Albuquerque for a few years, while the show was being filmed, so we were interested in the location), and we weren't bothered by the violence. We just never really got into it. We took a break after the first season, intending to come back at some point, but we never have.

I found the first episode a little slow. Somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd episode, I got completely, 100% hooked. Then I binge-watched 4 seasons to catch up to the 5th one that was airing at that time.

Still think it's the best series I've ever seen.

OP here and thank you again DCUM! It did take a while for me to get into "Breaking Bad" and I kept falling asleep but now, at the beginning of Season 3, DH and I are both totally into it and love it.

Thank you - you guys have never steered me wrong!

After 3 tries I was able to get through the first episode. Now it's getting good! I was looking for a new series to binge watch since everything else I seem to watch ends up cancelled!

How violent is it? I have avoided watching it because I have low tolerance for TV/movie violence...

Anonymous wrote:Yes!! I am so jealous of people who are just starting to watch it! My fave show ever

same here! sometimes w/these good shows ending i wish they would've just kept going until the shows made me sick that they were still on instead of capping at 5/6 seasons but that's just selfish.

i think by 4/5 eps into Breaking Bad we'd watch more than one episode a night. once that happens to me we're officially all in and consider ourselves bingers!
