I heard a rumor the entire baseball coaching staff quit after the head coach was fired. I know head coach was fired over some Facebook posts, not sure if the other quit or if it's hearsay.

Music program is fantastic. Lots of things are good. But you won't see many of those longtime teachers next year. Football coach not rehired b/c his son complained about an inapppropriate coach in another sport. Many other horror stories that you wouldn't believe. HOS refuses to meet with those have questions/complaints. Morale at all-time low among teachers.

Love the school. Love the community. Outstanding music program and music director. Small class sizes and dynamic teachers. Great new principal this year. (school has a hos and a principal)
True the school has gone through change, but all schools do when new people come aboard. . Some teachers will stay and some will go. There are still plenty of longtime teachers still at the school who remain. Our kids have gotten an amazing education.

Most teachers strongly dislike Dr. Curry. Many teachers have left and are leaving. Look for them at neighboring private schools next year. He fired the nurse because she refused to give him the staff medical cards with personal medical info on them. He spent some fifty thousand dollars on a gold cross for him to wear at graduation.
It is a shame because in the past there were some excellent school leaders.
He gets rid of staff and then won't hire enough to replace them. Witness the one librarian trying to do the work of two. The students are paying the price for that kind of thing. Many other examples exist.

There were students that left West Potomac for BI this year as they felt WP was not rigorous. My point is, you can find students who will say this at any school.
Find the best school for your child and don't worry about what others think or say about your decision.

Let's at least be intellectually honest. This is the Acceptance list over the last four years. It spans multiple graduating classes. And, the same outstanding applicant may represent multiple acceptances. Theoretically, one person could be the acceptance for Columbia, MIT, and University of Chicago.

If this is true the school can't call the class 'AP whatever.'
The College Board is explicit about this. Anyone can sit for the exam, regardless if they took the class, but it would be problematic.

One thing to note about BI that I have heard from more than one parent - the teachers who teach AP classes at BI are not required to have any additional training unlike teachers at public school (including TC). For this reason, students in some AP classes (not all) are having to get outside tutoring because they do not feel prepared for the AP exam.

It sure is. Try comparing the upper 50% of each to the other. And the posted list is incomplete, BTW. We know a BI '26 that is attending a college not on the list. Pruning, maybe?

Looking at the school profile the kids at BI all are going to be smart kids (not saying brilliant, but not ruling it out). You are not going to find that at TC Williams.
