I'm a 36DD and almost never wash my bras. I do alternate which one I wear, so that they air out thoroughly.

That said, my weight has not been consistent for more than 2 years at a time in a long time (gain, lose, pregnant, nursing bras, lose, gain, and so on) so my bras are never all that old. At any one time I own 2 newer bras that fit well and 2 older ones that are ok for around the house.

If I'm going to get sweaty at all -- even to just walk the dog -- I wear a wireless sports bra. Those, I wash after every wear.

Finally, this is my own personal soapbox but Dr Oz is a quack. If he advised to never wash bras, I would start washing mine regularly.

I am a 36DD and I do pretty much this. Olga stopped making my favorite bra years ago, so I have a stash. I never put them in the dryer. Never.

I'm obsessive and meticulous about my custom altered, expensive bras. I generally spend about $100 per bra (Chantelle) and have built up a nice wardrobe of beautifully designed bras in different styles and fits.

All that said, I hand wash my bras after each wear. Couldn't be simpler, just swish in tepid water with a few drops of gentle dish detergent or even baby soap. Drip dry.

There are a selection of hooks to make them all a custom fit. You're a sucker if you think they need to be altered.

In the winter, I hang up the one I wore and wear it one or more times before I wash it. Now that the heat is back, I wash every day. And on the weekends, I can go through more than one (like if I do yardwork and then shower, I'm not putting that gross thing back on).

I wash after 3-4 wears. Unless I workout or am outside for long periods of time on a hot day.

If you have really large breasts, you'll sweat underneath pretty much no matter what (not excessively, but some). There's no air circulating in between and under, even if you're wearing a good support bra.

If you don't work out, why eash them so much? I know I don't sweat, I wash every two weeks
