You are still in your 20's, you are still young. If you want to do things differently, do them differently.

You are talking like you're middle aged with half your life behind you already. That is not the case.

you are only 28. Everyone knows 30 is the new 21. Seriously, I had some weird 20 something crisis at 28 too. But then got super involved in work happy hours where I met lots of people my age who were single and also in social sports. Seriously, sign up for bocce league and soccer (if you play). you will meet a ton of people and then have fun, drinks and good times on a weekly basis.

NP here, not undeserving, but excess fat (to a degree) is often seen as less sexually desirable, therefore the assumption is they'll have fewer prospective partners so virginity is more understandable. On the flip side, even if they have prospective partners they may just feel undesirable because of all the messages we get about fat people. Unless someone is religious or has a history of abuse I don't think it's a really far fetched assumption to make.

Agreed, it all come down to attractiveness and we have all been conditioned to think of excess body fat as unattractive. Seriously, how may 200+ pounders do you see and think "ooh, I would like to hit that"?

New Poster, but a mid-30s virgin. I am fat, but I am also incredibly fit. Run marathons, blood work is perfect, do regular hot yoga, etc. I'm a great cook and I think a kind person. I own my own home and have a great job. Unfortunately, it seems none of what I have to offer matters and I will be alone forever because biology keeps me fat. omg, PP, you sound wonderful. I hope you will find someone who appreciates all you offer, and has a great deal to offer you in return. I hate the way our culture is about fat. It's so weird too, because in reality, most of the country is overweight! And most of the country is not as health-conscious as you are.

And you would be surprised how many 28+ virgins there are. They mostly just lie. (3 of my closest friends used to fit in that category. NOT ANYMORE!)

I had a great time in my 20s and the 30s have been just as good, but different. If you peak at any time you are doing it all wrong. Life has highs and lows.

You have 2 more years of your 20's to start doing and stop having regrets.

And not to worry. While I enjoyed my 20's. I have one long term relationship in my 20's. At 28, I broke up with her. At 33 I met my now wife and at 37, I married for the first time. At 50, the last 17 years with my life partner and family have been the best years of my life. You have so much more of life to experience, you have no idea when the best years of your life will be. As I said, start doing and stop having regrets. You'll make the best years of your life at some point in the future if you do.
