Another friend worked with Angelina Jolie on an African aid project, and said she was "the real deal." He works in international development for a living, and was really impressed with her.
Alan Rickman was a dick. Billy Joel and Ethan Hawke were both really nice and unassuming.

Tall, warm, and wow, he made you feel like I was the most interesting person in the world for the few minutes we chatted about the non-profit I was representing. Everybody always says how charming he is and it's true.
+ 1 had the same experience meeting him
Me, too! I have never had that experience before or after I met him in 1992 in New Hampshire.

I was in a scene with Tom Arnold and movies take a LONG time to film. He and I were together for a little over an hour. He was so nice and funny and totally talked me and another extra up.
Granted, I was 15, but he was really awesome! His wife, Rosanne, was a total bitch and just shopped in the Polo store in Georgetown and yelled at everyone.
I posted this on another thread several months ago, but I met Robert Downey, Jr. when I was in 5th grade while he was filming the movie Chances Are in Rockville at the Courthouse. He came out of his trailer and talked to me, my sister and my sister's best friend. He was so nice to us and answered all of our questions (and asked his own). Afterwards, he gave my sister a Koosh ball (remember those?) and told her to take good care of it because it was the "greatest toy he ever had". This was in 88, I believe, maybe 87. Anyway, he was gorgeous then and so, so nice.
And completely high, during those years. Good you didn't notice that when you were kids though.
Give the guy a break. We all have our demons, and most of us can't claim (as he can) that our parents had us smoke a joint with them at age six! smh.
