Yup. I just find it disturbing that she thought it was okay to even bring this up - she's a very well-educated woman in her forties. I guess education =/= common sense.


I have seen many examples over the years that intelligence and/or academic degrees have little to no bearing on common sense. In some ways high thinkers don't necessarily think highly of themselves outside of the academic world and are insecure in a number of areas.
