No really, Jennifer Aniston got brutally humiliated in '04 when her perfect marriage (or so we all thought!) imploded when her husband, Brad Pitt fell in love w/a younger more beautiful woman. Then they went on to create the most beautiful family in history while poor Jenn watched all alone at the sidelines. The only guy she has had since Brad who I would consider hotter would be John Mayer but we all know how that ended. Almost immediately after she tried to make Brad jealous at the Oscars.

Also, Jenn is not a pretty person. I mean for an every day person like you or I she is pretty. But for celebrity standards, she really is plain-looking. Kimberly Stewart once referred to her as "homely." That may be pushing the envelope a bit.

On the show Friends, she looked really pretty, yet in real life pictures she looked really average. (Must have been great lighting/make-up/camera angles on Friends.) I think her chin is too pointed, her lips are too thin + her nose is a little big and not well shaped.

Angie on the other hand is flawless to the tenth degree. Thick hair full of natural body, full lips, high cheek bones, a well-sculpted nose and beautiful blue eyes. It was no contest.


Are you a tween? Marriage is a lot more than based on looks you know.

...I don't know too, maybe I am being ridiculous, but it's hard for me to imagine that she really doesn't want kids or a marriage. Why keep getting engaged? Why marry Brad to begin with? Maybe it's just what every other single-40s-something woman deals with and Chelsea leans into it, but my take is, even through all of the acting and what-not, she seems to be screaming "LIKE ME! - please like me!" No one forced this woman into her field, no one makes her go to these vents, and date these men. She chooses it. Roberts married a camera-guy who stays at home with the kids. Aniston married Brad f-in Pitt. I don't have a TON of empathy, sorry.

Huh. I always thought Roberts wasn't downward, she was just being picky, she's a very good actress. Has Aniston ever won an oscar? (I know, that's not a classification for skill, but it is somewhat self-selecting.) Jenn seems to hate the whole thing, but doesn't know how to not want it. I couldn't handle fame on that level. I'd retreat into a cave, I'm sure it's not easy in many ways, but then once you get there, I bet you can't let it go without a serious struggle.

She's BFFs with Chelsea Handler --- another single 40 something with childhood issues who shuns marriage and parenthood. And that's fine. It's easier for Chelsea to own up to it because that's her schtick. But Jen is supposed to be the girl next door. The reality is that Jen's career will be on a downward trajectory (think: Julia Roberts, her predecessor). Because she has to say that. Acting jobs are based on popularity. Not saying those things would make her look bad to the masses.

She is really a bad at a managing her public image. After the Brad Pitt incident she did a whole Vanity Fair article talking about how much she still loved him and how much she engaged children and marriage and she kept crying through it.
