I used to enjoy tracking money, didn't mind doing bills (I'm DW). But after we got married DH wanted to do it after I incurred two late fees. We are both anal but him more so. I said ok. I feel so much less financial stress not seeing the bills. I have no idea how much we spend on electricity, water, cell phones And I love it.

Husband. The only thing I do is move money from checking to savings and I only do that when I think there is too much in the checking account. You never know when your debit card could get hit.

I know about all the finances but he's better at managing. His father is a retired CPA and taught his son the art of money management for free.

Me...DW. It started out because DH was deployed and I kept the gig. DH is better at it than me, so I keep asking him to take it over but I'm sure he doesn't want the hassle of remembering all of the account passcodes etc.

Me, DW & SAHM. I try to involve my DH by putting it in a spreadsheet and sending it to him each month, sometimes he feels like getting "involved" and turns it into graphs and charts haha.

Me. DW. DH is pretty clueless when it comes to money. And I'm very financially conservative and a bit of a control freak. LOL! Every time I've tried to have him sit with me to pay the bills, he has started stressing out and can't handle it. So I just pay the bills and tell him what we can and can't afford to do.

Sadly, he has zero idea of where our money is, what our account passwords are, how much we have, etc. He DOES attend all financial planning meetings with our financial advisors so he has some general idea of our retirement goals. But other than that? Nothing. I keep saying I'm going to get that info together for him but haven't had time...

Me - DW! I have always done it and I am much better at it than DH would ever be. He doesn't even know how much we have in savings. Not because he doesn't care, but he trusts me and knows that if there was a problem with our finances that I would tell him.

I literally pay every bill, and balance our retirement accounts.

FWIW, he is the main earner in the family and I work PT. We have two school-aged kids.

As DH, I handle 100% of this. DW could but she has zero interest. Its not that much work, although I often pretend that it is to justify not doing other things like taking out the garbage.
