This is a misunderstanding of bedbugs. They are just as likely to make a home out of a no upholstered piece of furniture. They live in the seams of wood pieces, so no amount of cleaning can get rid of them. You have to treat the piece with heat or chemicals. We got an infestation from a buffet cabinet.
