No, but if my job had a part-time option I would consider that. I would fill my time doing stuff with my kid and pursuing hobbies/interests like cooking, crafting, and exercise. I would probably look for a way to do some pro bono legal work to help others and keep my skills fresh. I would also consider doing some freelance writing if I could find a publication that was interested.

I think it comes down to how you feel about your job. If you hate it, then it's a no brainer. Find something you'd enjoy more, or stop working.

hell no. I dream to win lottery everyday so that I don't need to go back to my office the next day. I hate my job that much. The only reason that prevents me from quitting or switching is the money. For that I hate myself very much.

Yup, I would stay.

I'd quit in a second. I do meaningless work for clients I don't like, but it pays really well. I'd drop it all to work with children if we didn't need the money.

PP, we have identical situations. Life is so much more enjoyable, especially with the kids. Now I actually look forward to getting up in the mornings!

I work as a part-time nanny and I love the child I work with, so no I wouldn't quit until they fired me.

I don't need the money- I stay in my job because I am afraid to have another resume gap and I've been told its easier to get a job when you have a job.

Me too! I was so happy that work was only delayed on Friday so I could get some adult time before the weekend. Part time would be nice, though.
