Subject: If you can't decide, can you put down two deposits?
A better choice would be to have your DS do another shadow day at both schools, if he is an older applicant. Since you don't have an opinion, let him choose.

No, I"m the poster who said she did this. Both schools were fine with it. They wanted my children to attend, and they were happy to let us have a few extra days.
Also, did you mean to write "flaunt?"
Schools won't have a problem with you asking, and both schools are likely to say to an extension. If they say no, they won't hold it against you and you are no worse off. But no, don't hold two spots. It is selfish, it is wrong, and, if you care, it could backfire on you.
