You seem really thin-skinned and defensive, PP from public school. No one's pissing on your snowflake or public schools generally. There are hundreds (thousands?) of news articles with public school parents talking about how dissatisfied they are with NCLB testing, Common Core, boundary disputes, safety scandals, and all manner of other things. Are you too stubborn to even acknowledge that there are some things that dissatisfy public school parents?

Agreed to PP! Talks like this can put schools out of business. You can ruin it for lots of happy families and kids, not to mention teachers and administrators out of job!

This is all so subjective and I think we should stop naming schools. Its rude and unkind. I posted earlier and stated its all dependent on the applicant. There is no one school from whom every applicant gets an acceptance letter.

For instance....
My kid goes to STA. It was his first choice school when he applied. If I were to name his "safety schools" I would piss off lots of folks for whom those same schools were their kid's "dream school." Those people would be right.

This is just a unnecessary and mean spirited thread. If you want to know what would be a safety school for YOUR CHILD, ask the folks at your current school or hire an educational consultant.
