Meri is seriously the worst. Anyone who would demand equal share of money when they only have one child and their sister wives have 6 each (and are on welfare) is an asshole. Don't get me started on her needing a 4500 square foot home to live alone in.

And why do all of them seem to think joining the National Guard on reserve means being actually deployed overseas and killed in Iraq? National Guard is called up for National and state emergencies by governors. Like the Civilian Air Patrol. It's rarely, if ever, called up by the President for deployment overseas. Do these people not even understand that?
That was true years ago, but since the Iraq wars, it isn't as cut and dried and there is a very real threat of being deployed.

No checklists for vacation packing? It's like they start from scratch every time and always leave like 8 hours later than they need to. I agree, it looks exhausting.
When they visited with that other polygamist family, I think that other family was shocked at the lack of systems and organization. I think maybe a bunch of them have adult ADD or something.
And Meri is just a bundle of shallowness and low self esteem. Why do you need a five bedroom house when you have one kid who is leaving the house??? So stupid. You have to heat and cool it, clean it, etc. Just her in that huge house? Eye roll. She could have had her stupid wet bar in a much smaller home.
I kind of like Christine but she's as dumb as a door knob. When she was trying to be a realtor and then suddenly had an epiphany that she would have to show houses on the weekends... omg.
and yet still I watch.
Well in Meri's defense, she does have to share her DH with other women so maybe the big house compensates somewhat for that?
I am actually pretty impressed that most of their older kids have gone on to college and moved on with their lives. Ma and Pa Duggar might want to take note here of how to actually raise children who can become self sufficient adults.
I hate to have to 'defend' any one of these people...
But the new houses (Vegas, right?) were in a specific community, and I'm pretty sure they all had to pick certain 'models.' So Meri had to get a huge house even though she didn't need it - that said, lady didn't need a wet bar.

I wonder why she keeps saying she's worried she's "put her family at risk" - surely she didn't give out her true identity? Kind of confused and honestly, it seems like they're trying to drum up any drama at all.
I wonder if this family has any idea what's going on outside their own lives. We never see them react to any world news or current events - they're completely wrapped up in the minutiae of their own lives. Every tiny thing is built up into a huge drama. And yet, I'm still watching. Grr...
Yes, she did give her true identity. She sent him/her pictures of herself and talked about the details of the relationships among the five spouses. She shared private information and planned to leave the family to be with this person. The catfisher is supposedly holding this info she divulged over her head.

She shares an apartment with Mikayla who is interning with a fashion designer. Mariah is studying to be a PA at Westminster College in Utah and Madison is in college in Utah. So just 12 left at home. I realize it's pathetic that I know this.
