I miss her when I haven't seen her for a while. Currently, haven't seen her since May! DH saw her in December. I'm wondering if she'll be visiting soon.

I do wonder what she's up to. But then I have DH call her and ask. We just don't talk on the phone. I tried a few times, but they weren't into it. They're way more excited when DH calls them.

She passed a few years ago. She was a great help to me and my biggest advocate with DH. When DH and I were in a rough patch, she told me (in front of him) that I should leave him until he got his shit together because she did not want to see me deal with the same things that FIL put her through. That statement probably saved our marriage.

But what I miss most is seeing her interact with DH and her Grandkids. They adored each other and their life has not been the same since she died.

Not really. I know she loves DC and DH and I don't want to be petty and stop her from seeing them just because she isn't my favorite person. I don't hate her, but she's a passive aggressive know it all and has to have her way 100% of the time when she visits. It's exhausting.

Mine flew home this morning (on her broomstick). Sayonara! She was demanding, devoid of manners and disinterested in all 4 of us. 24/7, it's the MIL show and she can take that show on the road.

Will see her at a family wedding in April and then hopefully not again in 2015.

I can't really miss her when we've never truly had the opportunity to get to spend that kind of time together.

I like her a lot. She's very sweet and I enjoy the time we do spend together. But she lives half a country away and we really only get to see her maybe 2 weeks out of the year.

It would be great to live closer. Get to know her and spend more time together. But, that's just never going to happen.

No. She is always calling to ask for a favor.

I actually miss my ex-MIL a lot. She was a a great lady, a terrific grandma, and still kept a picture of me in her house. She passed a few a few years ago.

Absolutely miss my MIL. She was not even a good grandmother but she was her own person and a big personality and loved my dh and kids and zi am sad they do not have any more time with her.

She did. She was a kind, accepting, person who made me feel welcome in her home and accepted people just as they were -- pretty much the opposite of my family. She kept her family together and now they've blown to the four winds. Sigh.

Mine is dead too, and despite the fact that I didn't always see eye to eye with her I do miss her on occasion. She was definitely the glue in the family, which has become less close. And she could talk to just about anyone-a useful skill at awkward family dinners.

She sounds like she was amazing, not bitter. I would love this. Alas, DH is not like her, so there's that.

I like mine just fine but we aren't close enough for me to actively "miss" her- she's just not that warm in a lot of ways so we have a good relationship but not a close one.

Nope. When it's been a while I start to wonder when the other show will drop and she'll start sniffing around, but no.
