I caught my husband this way. He didn't think the texts posted on the bill. I pay the bills. I wasn't prying, but needed to look up something and was shocked. Hundreds of texts at all hours. The information age has changed cheating both from the ease of staying connected with the affair partner and getting caught.

It's an affair. You don't have to catch them naked in bed to know. If you're an adult over 15 you don't text another woman like that if you can pick up the phone. Texts are for quick reminder notes for most people - or trying to communicate on the sneak when you CAN'T talk.

You did the honorable thing as her husband by confronting her directly OP. It shows that you trust her as your wife and that you are not one to just "lose it" as some would have.

However, your wife's reactions speaks volumes.

If I were you, my next move would be obvious.

Call the phone no.# directly. See who answers and talk to the person. Ask how they know your wife.

Then you will have your answer.

Im very sorry OP. If you don't want to hire a PI, I would try to get her phone while she's busy elsewhere and install Findmyiphone type apps or even a full spy on the phone to view texts, calls, location,etc. As someone who suffered betrayal by a serial cheater and decided to divorce, I think it does matter to know and have evidence vs. only suspecting, even if it does not affect anything in the courts. I spent months suspecting something was going on, but my ex was very good at making me discredit myself, gas lighting and accusing me of being paranoid, crazy, etc. I felt very isolated and vulnerable, plus didn't have time to pursue any suspicion because I was either at work or taking care of two young kids. Finally the evidence fell in front of me and it was just the tip of the iceberg.
As for finding the ownership of the phone, intelius and hexum worked for me, although sometimes they give no result or show past phone ownership instead. You are probably under a lot of pain and confusion, and I wish you the best.

Both your wife and her paramour should get iPhones, so that they can iMessage with all that unlimited data. Then you won't have to pay for the overage.

OP, what is your dilemma? If I had read the text about being wrapped around someone, the conversation WOULD NOT end until what actually happened was confessed. That text was totally inappropriate.
