Every night. I meal plan, Peapod and clean up.

I actually love to cook, but weeknights after work and dealing with kids it's totally not my thing. Thankfully he finds it relaxing!

Rarely in the winter, but I'm a SAHM. When we both worked (and before kids), he did most of the cooking because he does enjoy it.

In the summer, he cooks more often, usually on weekends, because he enjoys grilling and smoking meats.

DH cooks dinner almost every day. I maybe cook once a week. We don't do cooked breakfast except on weekends. Kids eat lunch at school.

Never. He is very low maintenance so doesn't mind when I don't make dinner and everyone fends for themselves. However, I do like to cook and like my children to eat a nutritious meal at night, so I make dinner almost every night.

Mine does quite a bit. It's helpful if I tell him "hey, throw that whole chicken in the crockpot" or give options: "I pulled out Texas Toast for french toast or there's brats in the drawer if you want to make those"
Any meal I come home to is heavenly =) He also does 98.4% of the laundry

The exception is he grills in the summer.

At least twice a week (1 weekday night when I work late, one more elaborate meal on the weekend), though lately it's been 3 because I have the kids at a lesson so he gets home before us. The other nights I get home first, so I do it. I knew he was a keeper when he cooked me dinner for our first date

I SAH and my DH cooks probably 3 or 4 of the 7 dinners a week.

I am the foodie in the house and I do most of the meal planning and shopping as well as the majority of the cooking. DH cooks a fair bit though and is a good cook when he needs to be and he cooks at least once a week. He also does breakfast (although I agree with a PP that putting bowls, cereal and milk on the table is not the same as making a full hot dinner).

I am fine with this arrangement, though, as he does the majority of cleaning (other than what the housekeeper does), house maintenance and finances. Cooking and shopping and dealing with the kids' stuff (clothes, needs for school, toys, etc.) are mostly my responsibility.

I would say he cooks the majority of the time. Maybe 4 days to my 3. He likes it and so do I.

DH= Sat and Sun are his responsibility. Also makes DS's lunch, and sometimes does meal prep on weekends for the week.
I am chiefly responsible for meals Mon-Fri.

But DH is the one who is actually a talented cook. So it's not hard to get him to cook, he just needs time.

He does dishes and he will grill the meat if grilling is needed. He makes me a drink while I cook and sometimes read the paper to me.

As true as that is, does it give you an extra 30 minutes in the morning to sleep or primp for work? Is so, that has value.

I got really tired of "Cooking Light" pasta recipes...and I worked my way through college cooking in restaurants (this was back in the 80s when you could still kind of do that). I do most of the grocery shopping too..DW sucks at picking out produce & meat.
