I cut a friend off who kept making references or comments about me related to sex. Im a married mother I don't cheat I don't know where she got it from but I got tired of even thinking about why she was saying it and it I cut her off.

Honestly it skeeves me out so much I don't even want to have to explain it to her so she's randomly still calling or texting or emailing and I just rolled my eyes with that every time it was the straw that broke the camels back when she made one final comment about me being a swinger WTF.

I cut off a friend and it was a last straw type thing and I had tried to ask her nicely to stop being so mean on several occasions.

WTF? I went to grad school twice and I didn't cut off any friends. She's cut off because she was a total ass. That's not a quirky funny thing to do; it's beyond rude and disrespectful.

I was in the same situation, except instead of my friend saying she wasn't from this country (she is from this country), she would always say that I was being too sensitive. That was always her excuse. I'm better off without her.

As someone who is on the other side of this and just stepped away from a 20+ year friendship, I'll tell you it's probably because it was the very last straw. I'm guessing she discussed this with you over and over again over the years and you probably ignored her feelings and called her "uptight" or "sensitive"?
