Again, this is one of a whole series of reforms going on at Dartmouth. So you should educate yourself before you opine.

Applications bounced way back up this year by the way. Before any of this stuff was announced.

High school kids drink too much hard alcohol. Usa is one of four nations in the world that has a 21 drinking age. It's dumb and unrealistic

Another important point is that they are also banning pledging activities for Greek houses. In my experience this was when some of the worst stuff happened. They are also instituting new policies on sexual assault.

I'm happy with the steps my alma mater is taking and hope other universities will follow.

I'm 15:07, and,no, that wasn't what I said at all. Not sure if you really believe the rant above or are just setting up a straw (wo)man, but my point is that binge drinking has become part of the college and youth culture over the past 25 years or so. Before that, sure there was some of this going on, but it wasn't nearly as prevalent.

When I was a kid it was 21 for hard stuff and 18 for beer and wine. That made sense and reflected reality
