Good for you. It's just a piercing and I don't know why people are making such a fuss over it.
Anonymous wrote:OMG, seriously?! multiple ear piercings. So trashy.

New poster here. She needs to find better ways of expressing herself. Take her to a psychologist.

Anonymous wrote:Ear piercings are fine with me, no matter how many. Anything beyond the ears has to wait until 18. However: I will not pay for piercings unless they are birthday wishes. And then it's one piercing at a time (that's one pair of earrings per birthday). I will not ever pay for any piercings that aren't in the ears.

Now 16 year old DS wants an earring.. that's a tough one.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:OP here, sorry for the late response. I did allow DD to have her third set pierced. I told her I would think on it, then we were in the mall last week. as soon as she saw Claire's she told me "I just want to express myself and I have the money" l caved. She went with a tiny cubic zirconia. After I saw how nice it looked I decided to have a second set put in my ears! I had them pierced in my college days but they had closed up. It was a fun mother-daughter date. (And I made it clear, no more piercings before 18)
Good for you! You sound like a reasonable person.
wait, what? double standard time.
I don't think you can allow piercings for your daughter and not your son. As women are slowly being allowed to do things that previously only men could do, it's only fair that men can do what previously only women could do.

Ear, nose, bellybutton, all those places would be fine in my book.
I draw the line at lip/tongue piercing, as that's damaging to the teeth.
