Wilson doesn't get any per pupil money for these students to pay for the coaching they get. I guess the operative consideration here is the fact that
some Lab School students are there because DCPS can't comply with their IEPs.
DCPS wont' pay for lab school anymore.
Lab School is still on OSSE's list of nonpublics that they will pay for. But it is very, very difficult to show that a student with learning disabilities should be in a nonpublic school at all, that they shouldn't be with non-disabled peers. DCPS wants students with severe LDs to be in the DCPS self contained classroom, even though it sucks.
