Op here. No, my boss isn't ethnic. Just a very white privileged woman.

I work in marketing for a winery. The falling out with the coworker was a long time ago but we managed to put our differences aside and be professional. This coworker is close friends with my boss.

The dumb, brown nosing co-worker should have gotten fired, too.

Was the mispronounciation of swift due to an accent due to an ethnicity? Maybe you were being racist.

OP, in the words of Donald Trump, "never trust anyone". He is hardly a role model for the average worker, but that is very true. Good look, the short term may not be great, but you know better for the next time.

Sorry, OP. It sounds like your boss is extremely insecure. He or she should understand that coworkers sometimes need to vent about the boss. Hope you got some severance and that you find something fast.
