My laptop was minimally damaged, and my agency tried to charge me $1800 to replace it (and not let me keep it, even though it functioned fine)! Probably they will just make you fill out a lot of forms.

Still freaking out, bc its just so weird. I cant even imagine where it could be. I went from work to home and haven't touched my bag since I got home - never took it out. I emailed my supervisor but I'll talk to the IT people in the morning.
My friend just did some accidental damage to her laptop and there were so many forms and statements, I cant imagine what this will entail.

Calm down. There is nothing you can do if you can't find it right now. You'll go through the necessary steps and procedures and survive. Don't show this panicky behavior in the work place, it isn't professional.
