Get the Tetley brand, but not the one sold in Safeway/Giant etc which is accommodated for Americans and which tastes gross. Get the Tetley sold in imported foods stores, like Indian stores etc. The imported ones tasted leaps and bounds better than the locally made ones. The same goes for Lipton, the imported ones will taste better.

Thanks for the tea tips but I am lucky to get 3 mins in between my classes to run to the bathroom and make tea and the 2 mins for the bathroom are if I can get the teacher next door to cover my spot monitoring the hallway. I wish I had a more leisurely job to use tea leaves to make tea. I'll try that on the weekends at home though.

First thing, stop shopping at white people's stores where they charge you $16 for a two-ounce bag of herbal bullshit.

Go to a Middle Eastern, Persian or Russian store, and get a box or tin of of leaf tea. Ahmad is a good brand and they carry many others. You can get a respectable-size tin for $10. It should last you for a couple of months. Teabags are for poor people.

Boil water. Get a teapot ready. When water boils, rinse the teapot to warm it. Put in one spoon of leaf tea per intended up. Add any of your preferred flavorings (sage, mint, cardamom etc). Add water at the point of roiling boil. Steep for 10 minutes. Toss after an hour or two. Never add water directly to the teapot after the initial fill. If you must, add water directly to your cup. That's how tea is meant to be drunk.

OP again. Maybe I'll try tea leaves for home and tea bags at school. I'm headed to Giant today so I might try a bit of whatever they have.

Lipton yellow label tea is my favorite and you'll like it if you like full bodied teas. I buy it at the Indian store. Other choices are Tajmahal and Darjeeling teas. I brew the leaves directly in water. Tastes delicious with milk and sugar.

A Londoner brought me some run-of-the-mill M&S tea recently. So much better than our bog standard Lipton!

I'm British. I like PG Tips but it's too expensive. I buy the Tetley British Blend at Safeway or Giant. Make sure it says "British Blend" on it.
