We use the aftercare and before care --- it's DC, so lots of working parents who use both before and aftercare. Your child won't be alone.

Also, the days off for the Jewish holidays are tough. We are lucky to have nearby grandparents who are retired, but others telework or hire a babysitter/nanny.

My oldest child attended JCC several years ago (pre-renovation) and I have a child who currently attends (post renovation) and we couldn't be happier! There were definitely some areas for improvement in the past and I feel like it's been a 180 since my last child attended. They have a very capable preschool director in place, an incredible lead teacher in the classroom, and the facilities are fabulous. The community of parents is also very very strong -- that's one thing I can say that's always been consistent about my experience at JCC over all of these years is that you can't find a better preschool community.
