Meeting the 132 benchmark for either test means your child will automatically be in the pool for AAP screening. It doesn't mean your child will get into AAP.
I was under the impression that 99% of those that are in pool are accepted into AAP; and that ~75% of those that are referred are accepted.
Purely anecdotal? Comments on this board seem to support those #s...
That's not correct. I think it's like 2/3ds of the pool are found eligible (whether parent referred or automatically in pool based on tests). Of those who appeal, another 2/3rds are found eligible.
It's definitely not 99% of the pool being found eligible.

I'm just curious if the OR in the bolded part above is generally true. Ex: Child gets a 140 on NNAT, but a 130 on CogAT...that should be in the pool, yes? Or should it be an 'AND' statement?
I haven't seen scores/letters yet from Spring Hill thus far...interesting watching how this all plays out across the County!

Oh well, guess they're using the composite this year then...my child's composite was 127 though he had a 135 on verbal, so was hoping they were going with the one subtest approach, as they did last year. For those who got in-pool letter with the scores, would you mind sharing your child's composite score (since FCPS refuses to post the benchmark, grrrr). Thanks!
I'd definitely parent-refer with his scores. He's pretty close and definitely high on one subsection. If the teachers give him a healthy GBRS, I bet he'd be placed in AAP.
