Who cares if your kid is at an Ivy, a state school or a community college? The important point here is that it is my FB page, if I want to brag about something, be it my kid's college acceptance, weight loss, or a new set of tits - that's my freakin' personal space and I have the right to do it. Yes, I am proud of my child. I don't understand parents who don't say anything at all about their children. Are you ashamed of them or are you THAT superstitious?

You realize that the Ivy reference was preemptive, right? To forestall another "Boo hoo, your kid didn't get in anywhere as good as my kid."

I realized that the convenient pretext was to forestall such a response.
