Don't fight this battle...you will lose.
Funny, I always thought it's the white that smells, if at all?
As a PP said above,
use fresh eggs, and don't overcook (7min for large eggs). Lots of nutrition in yolks.
My 2yo loves boiled eggs mashed up with mayonnaise, kind of like an egg salad.
You actually don't agree with the earlier PP who said:
Older eggs. Don't overcook. No smell.
For me, the key is the cooking process. Overcooking will bring out the sulfur and sulfurous smell in the yolks.
I now use the process that most professional cooks use. Put eggs in cold water, completely submerged. Bring water to boil. When at a full boil, take off the heat and let sit in the hot water. 11 minutes for Med, 13 for Lg, 15 for XLg, 17 for Jum eggs. Move eggs to ice bath. This process is also good for making HB eggs easier to peel. A good way to tell if you've overcooked the eggs is when you open then, if there is a greenish tinge around the yolk, then you've overcooked. The yolk should be nice and yellow. If it turns greenish, then the sulfur smell will be stronger.
