I love all three names. I love Julie but think that people tend to pronounce it more flatly than Julia. Like Julia is Jew-Lee-A and Julie is Jule-ee (like yule, not mule). If Julie is Jew-lee, I like it better - that may or may not make sense. Julia is really common now, I think Julie less so. Juliet is a great name, we considered it.

I have a friend who named her girl baby Julien and I like that, too. But yeah, totally biased!

Yule and mule don't rhyme?

We named our daughter, Julia. It's ranked #75 on the SSA list. That's too common for the DCUM crowd but really not all that common in actuality. I'm not afraid of my daughter knowing another child with the same first name so it wasn't an issue for us.

That being said, I love all of the other names as well. I don't think you can go wrong, OP. They're all lovely.

Honey: My middle name is Michelle and so is my baby girls. We are not all mean girls. Some of us are "grown ass women".

We are naming our baby Julianne. If at some point she prefers a shorter version, such as Julie or Julia, she can choose what she prefers.

This is my favorite. I am also a child of the 60s/70s and Julie feels like my generation. Juliet feels like a fresher take. Like Suzanne is fresher than Susan.

I'm a Juliette. I went by Julie all the way through college and then switched to Juliette. I guess I sort of grew into the name. I prefer Juliette or Julia, but of course I'm biased.
