My parents are 80. They got a very large mirror from Ikea for their foyer a couple of years ago. It looks great with their more expensive furniture.

Almost everything in my home is antique, either handed down through my family or purchased by me for way too much. I love antiques and will pay a lot for a good piece.
That said, I love IKEA sofas! With kids and dogs, it's great to be able to buy a new slipcover every couple of years. I think we'll probably always buy our family room sofas, loveseats, and chairs at IKEA.

39. I have new furniture, vintage/antique, and ikea. The antiques are high quality but face it, they look shabby. The ikea furniture is cheap but stylish. Good for kids rooms.

46/51 and we have a mix. We did buy the Ektorp sectional in white. I wanted to see how we did with slipcovers ( other sofas were always leather) as hubby spills everything! Love that I can throw them into the wash and they look great again. For the price, if it breaks I won't feel cheated as we did get quite a bit of use already.

35. Used ikea for a massive bookcase/cabinet system in the basement, will go this weekend for some storage bins and drawers to integrate into a toddler train/craft table. i have been impressed with the quality, flexibility, and hardware given the price point.

I'm 44 and have some IKEA furniture and an IKEA kitchen.
I live in a modernist house and occasional pieces mix in nicely with our higher end modern furniture.
I love the picture frames and use them to frame photos and mu kids art work.

My folks had those Poang chairs in the house I grew up in (yes, in the 80s).
I'm 39 and we just traded in a bunch of our grad school thrifted mismatched bookcases for some matching Ikea ones. And my kid's room is 40% Ikea and 40% Target cubes.

I'm 45, single parent and always broke. I don't normally use IKEA for major furniture, but will buy TV stands, or desks from them. Recently though, I had to break down and purchase a dresser for my bedroom. The one I wanted and was trying to save for was over $600, and I just couldn't seem to ever get the extra money. So after years of piling clothes on boxes and the floor and buying those little plastic drawers (was all suppose to be temporary), I finally took $170 and bought an IKEA dresser...sigh

Playroom storage/rug and we plan to buy a small sofa for the playroom too. Kids are under 5. We make $200k and are 39. Interested in the wardrobes for extra storage until we can swing a renovation.
