I doubt too many billionaires stepped foot in a public school as children either.
Warren Buffet did! A product of DCPS

Kent Amos should go to jail. What a disgrace. For shame.
No background in education is hardly unusual. Andre Agassi and Deion Sanders have both started for profit charter management companies. The Amos example is not an exception by any means. Besides, the biggest advocates for charter schools are billionaires who probably haven't stepped foot in a public school.

Dear Kent, with that kind of logic, you sound as clean as a councilmember.
It's not like the compensation arrangements were approved by a fully independent and disinterested board.
If you actually think that this was approved by a fully independent and disinterested board, then you and I have very different definitions of "fully independent and disinterested".

The fact that Amos has hired Frederick Cooke, longtime consigliere to Marion Barry says volumes about the corrupt DC crowd he runs with and the seriousness of the trouble he is on. It's pretty likely that the Feds will be all over his tax filings as well. Yes, this crony bro is likely to do time.

He had contributed to Muriel Bowser. The last I heard, she was "considering" returning the money. I don't know if that ever happened.
