Absolutely everything. Same sort of stuff you discuss with your DH over dinner (so a little more personal info than I discuss with friends, mom knows more about finances). We talk about work, the house, dogs, gossip about relatives, etc. Mom is my best friend!

Fair enough. I find these conversations quite tedious.

Never, as both my parents passed away several years ago. While they were living, it was generally once a week.

Thinking about it now, I feel bad and wish it had been more. I also hope my daughter (in high school) and I will talk more frequently when she is an adult.

My dad and I have a scheduled phone date on Saturday afternoons. My mom lives on the west coast and gets up early, so we often spend an hour or so on g-chat in the morning before she goes to work while I am at work.

About once a week. We're pretty close, but not really phone people.

I talk to my mom usually 2-3 times a week, pretty long conversations (20-60 minutes). We text a lot in between. I email or text with my dad several times a week but we don't talk on the phone often. My husband calls his parents maybe every two weeks. I don't usually call them but I text or email several times a week. We see them once a month. We're close to all of them, but the only person I enjoy talking to on the phone is my mother.

Mom and I talk daily for about 20-60 minutes. DH calls his parents weekly after much nagging by me.

What do you talk about if you walk multiple times a day?

My folks are divorced. I talk to my dad every two weeks or so. My mom and I talk more frequently, maybe once or twice per week. DH can go for months without talking to either of his parents. They have a great relationship, but they are of the "no news is good news" persuasion when it comes to keeping in touch.

No one size fits all. Four siblings. We all "support" our elderly parents in different ways. Among other things, I call the most - almost every day.

Skype or phone weekly, email around 3 times a week

My mom at least twice a day. I have to make sure she is alive and well. I'm a constant worrier. And my dad it just depends maybe once or twice a week sometimes more if he answers the phone when I'm calling my mom.

I don't care what she thinks.

Huh? Put down that drink now!
