If you can not accept Gods existence, none of this will make any sense. So you will have to find other ways to deal with human tragedies.
If you believe in God, you know what I am taking about. And you feel empowered.

The topic of Satan is not popular in our secular society, but the truth is, he is alive and well. He loves to throw things like ebola at us which harm us in body and more importantly in soul.
No. There is no Satan. There is only God. And God is doing exactly what God does. We grow physically and spiritually through difficulty. There is no way to become more compassionate without going through hardship. There is no way to learn love without experiencing hatred. There can be no healing without injury. Our Universe is one of balance. As humans, our work is to become more like our God, whatever name you give Him. In doing so, we create a more compassionate world.
God is just being God. He can provide love, comfort, and peace. But He cannot prevent suffering in this world. If He could, He would.
NP here. I thought god was omnipotent? Not bring snarky, but I don't understand thd idea that god is benevolent and knows and created all, but can't stop that serial killer from killing or that drunk driver from slamming into a stroller. Either god can control everything of not.

It's simple. God brings the good stuff. The devil brings the bad stuff. Medical science cures disease, unrelated to the religion of the scientists the doctors or the patients.
God works in mysterious ways.

But is the devil limited to what God has created? Or can the devil create life on his own?

Then why did God create the Ebola Virus? To love and comfort us?
Ebola is a part of our world, just like every other living thing. Our physical environment is constantly changing. Sometime that works out well for humans and sometimes, not so much.
Anonymous wrote:I could see it as personal will if one takes the risk of becoming infected with Ebola. But I would say that the creation of the Ebola virus itself would be God's will. So one would have to ask, for what reason did God create the Ebola virus?
