Original poster here, thanks everyone for the recs and comments! Kavi is also on the top of our list - but
we would want to prounce it Kah-vee, which is how it would most likely be assumed to be pronounced in the US; however is the correct pronounciation be kuh-vee? I have seen/heard it both ways. Is this one that is acceptable either way?

I've heard the name Shaan recently and really like it.

Dev or Raj. I feel like every Indian guy I know is Ravi or Vijay so those are played out for me personally (like I matter). I knew a Vivek once - that's a nice name.

Actually they don't if you pronounce them correctly. That's why I'd never use them.

Agreed. Vijay is not pronounced Vee-jay, it's Vih-jai. Ajay is not Ay-jay, it's uh-jay.

Anything that is shortened to "Ro"

I don't know why but I love the name Ro- sounds short, sweet, strong, cool, etc.

Hate Vivan. It presents as "Vivian" which is a girls name.

Yeah watch out for this. I have a friend who is named Emilie but people process it as Emile all the time, and expect her to be male. I think she was even out on a boys soccer team once as a kid. I think Vivan would run into the same problem.

Ok, how about Rishab, Salil, mihir, Samir, Geeth, Gian/Gyan
