Not to mention, if you're drycleaning woman's apparel it adds up so quickly. The other week, 3 of my dresses cost more than the cost of drycleaning 15 men's shirts for DH. Sigh ... being a working woman costs so much more!

Zips or a similar shop for day to day cleaning, $2 per dry cleaned item, coats are 5$ i think. 3 dresses=6$. 15 shirts = ~18$ (1.19 each I believe) Unless it's precious specialty items with beading or suede you're overpaying big time. If you drop off at a small mom & pop storefront without a plant on premices, they are most likely taking the items to a cheap centralized place to clean and marking it up 50% for convenience of dropping off near your house/work.

We got our dog neutered for $50 at the ASPCA and paid $1000 for a timing belt for my Honda Odyssey at the dealer.

It's really almost impossible to budget on a monthly basis. So many of these expenses crop up on an annual or semi annual basis. You think you know how much will go into savings this month, and then you realize that it's someone's birthday, or the homeowner's insurance is due. I am trying to write up an annualized budget, so that fewer of these expenses come as a surprise.

In terms of impulse spending, I think it would be for the best if I changed my Zulily password to a string of forgettable random numbers.

I also cant go to Target without spending at least $100. That why spending the one-time $99 for amazon prime to I can get the hangers/floor cleaner/birthday present is worth it to me bc it avoids all those other trips for "one thing" that turn into $100 each time.
