Running is bad for your body. Plenty of other exercises that are gentler and less harmful and just as effective.
The whole shoe thing is a crock. Most shoes cause more problems than they help. I absolutely believe in minimalist, zero drop shoes but no shoe is going to stop wearing of the joints. Running is tough on the body given the angles of the joints. Gait analysis is helpful but good luck modifying things permanently.
