True enough - guess which are has more high paying jobs?
I would rather work for fed gov than for apple or google. Seriously. A lot of nerdy arrogant young males, no thanks.
I bet if one of these companies offered you a job you'd jump at it. And in gov't IT, maybe they are not as arrogant (no cause to be), but there are certainly enough nerdy males.

Why do you have such a problem with people working where they want? It has absolutely nothing to do with you, and I doubt anyone here would seek you out for employment advice.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Hullo. There it is in a nutshell. As another poster said who I disagreed with, nailed it!Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:San Jose St. is not one of the nation's better universities
pretty second tier even in California
It's beyond second tier.
You people make me laugh. You must not be in CS. It has a good CS dept. That's why high tech companies hire CS students from there. Duh.
People in the DMV area live in there own little Ivy bubble. Yea, I know, people in SV live in their own high tech bubble, but that's where most of the high tech jobs are, and since this post is about high tech, PP post was really stupid.
It makes sense to go to a univ. that has a good dept. in the area that you want to study, and not just some name brand school. The general public may recognize your name brand school, but people in certain industries don't care about general name brand. They generally know which schools have a strong CS dept - like SJSU.
