I grew up in a dry town (in TX). To buy alcohol you had to go out to “the strip” of liquor stores right outside the city limits. I think they only went wet in 2009.
For those of you complaining about not being able to buy alcohol on Sunday, my town had blue laws when I was a little girl. I think most stores were closed and you could only buy things like food, medicine, and gas on Sundays.
