He still takes my breath away, not just in the bedroom (though there's that) but in his kindness, his humor, his support, his confidence in my ability to achieve what I want, his willingness to be honest with me...I can't imagine life without him. Yes, completely. Over the years, there have been periods of time (lasting a few months) when I didn't really feel the love. In the first two years, we argued a lot. But in our actions, we've always cared for each other and together, cared for our home and family. So even when we couldn't figure out how to get along directly, neither of us has ever just completely checked out of the life we committed to sharing together. I think that counts as an act of love - being engaged and performing acts of love even when you aren't getting along well enough to communicate that love directly.

We're in a great place now, and we're ever refining our ability to communicate, connect with each other, and have productive disagreements rather than overly emotional fights. If you keep progressing in the right direction together, I think it's easier to feel the love than if you feel stagnant and stuck.

OMG with all this love outpouring, I'm feeling more like getting a divorce. Definitely don't have the kind of husband you ladies have.

Me too. Just today I wrote my husband a love letter and put it in the lunch I packed for him. I told him how much I love him and will never take his wonderful gifts (loyal, honest, hard working, etc.) for granted.

Same here. He's book smart but zero street smarts. Just like his father and siblings. Creates a lot of work for me but he's ok with directions, prefers them so I just have to be patient. And do all the major household and kid stuff myself.
