Now, I don't like them or find them flattering. But that is due to cutting you straight across. But I wouldn't care if my DD wanted to wear one in the summer

Even for homecoming and stuff - she has always worn dresses that had straps. I am sure if she finds a strapless dress that looks awesome and appropriate for the occasion, she will wear it.
