Always - yes, and he is also always hot, but at least it absorbs sweat if he gets stuck walking from the metro during the summer and it doesn't ruin his good shirt

I am a DH and always wear an undershirt. I prefer the tank style which gets the job done and is coller then V Neck or crew. If your DH wears a dress shirt he must wear an undershirt, just like wearing something under your pants.

Agree 100%!

+1, DH wears v-neck with open collar/polos, and crew neck with dress shirt and tie. He used to wear Hanes or Jockey, but I have found the Kirkland seem nicer. He runs kind of hot, and I think that makes it more important to wear an undershirt. The pits of those undershirts always eventually stain from sweat/deodorant, protecting the expensive dress shirt from stains and sweat showing.

This is funny to me b/c when we got married, I begged my DH to get rid of his V-neck t-shirts. I consider them very guido-ish. With some chest hair hanging out, all you need is a gold chain, and the look is complete. Round necks, people!

My skinny DH doesn't have much chest hair...ha. He didn't like how the crew neck collars and part of the shirt shows when he wears a dress shirt with the collar open. It's not like he has 3 buttons unbuttoned, so I think it looks ok. But I thought a little of the crew neck collar showing was ok, too.

DH grew up in a household where none of the men wore undershirts and "dress shirts" were short sleeved in the summer (even if worn with a tie or sport coat or suit), so he has come a long way in terms of fashion.

Anonymous wrote:No. By dress shirt do you mean an office shirt? My DH is always hot, so he doesn't want an extra layer.

My Dh runs hot too but believe me, you need it as an extra layer to absorb sweat. Yuck.

Yes. But my dad didn't and my mom considers undershirts to be low class. No idea why.

Anonymous wrote:Nope. He's Korean and doesn't sweat, so doesn't see the point of adding an extra bulky layer. In fact he was kind of baffled as to why all the white guys wore them until I explained that white people sweat even if we're just sitting still. Then he felt bad for us lol

It's not just about sweat; it's about adding a layer between his skin and the shirt so nipples, hair, etc. don't show through the dress shirt. Kind of like a bra for men!

Yes, always. White cotton v-necks.
