Because they're real, and they're fabulous.

Because the girls need some air

There is a mom in our circle of friends who always comes to play dates, birthday parties, etc wearing cleavage-baring tops and short shorts. I just find it odd. It's one thing to go to a party in a fun top but a birthday party?

So when men look at them, women can say, "my eyes are up here"

Same here. And a turtle neck just makes them look that much bigger anyways. I'm also not ashamed or uncomfortable of my big boobs, so you all just have to deal with my cleavage.

So, it's just practical and not, "Ha! Look at you then look at ME!"

Correct. I wear what's comfortable and what looks good on me for me (and sometimes DH). Not so that I can make other women jealous or to make men drool.

If it was only about comfort, most women wouldn't wear bras.

As someone with big boobs, it's much more comfortable to wear a bra than not to.

Of course it's for men. Deep in their psyche men want a women that can feed their young. The bigger the boobs the more like kids get fed. Kids eat they live. Man lived on!

Not totally correct re: feeding kids - just having big boobs doesn't mean you'll have a good milk supply. I was totally pissed when I had low supply after having my baby despite having DDs before getting pregnant. I thought the upside to the back pain and fashion limitations would be a bountiful supply. Alas, it's more about the glands than the overall boob size.

Also, I can't hide the boobs despite trying. Often, a shirt that I think would be modest (and would be so on a smaller chested woman) ends up looking more risqué on me and I won't notice until later (think of your typical v neck of something like that).

I'm pretty late in my pregnancy at this point and finding shirts to completely cover the enormous belly is getting harder. I'm hanging really low these days.

So, if you get a flash of my belly, I apologize. I am not going to go out and buy all new clothes for my last couple weeks, though.

same here. I've pretty much stopped buying v-neck shirts for this reason, but sometimes even crew neck shirts are problematic. I work with kids and try not to have my boobs hanging out all over the place, but there's only so much you can do.

Ah I still wear v necks. Just not deep vs and with the right bra.

I love v necks despite my big boobs. I have, however, worn camisoles underneath them at work because men seem unable to avert their gaze from boobs sometimes.

My cleavage is my best feature.

DH once pulled my shirt down to show it in public when we were having trouble getting served in a bar....bar tender ran right over!

But OP do you actually think people try to look nice for "head games" ??!! You might have serious issues. Should my DH always wear a hat over his great hair so bald guys don't get hurt feelings?

I know it makes my DH want to bury his face in it and nuzzle it. So I shamelessly use it to make him come back to the cave every night dragging the wooly mammoth carcass behind him. I have to make sure my young'uns are fed!
