I'm southern and would never do it because I would feel uncomfortable. Wearcwhatever you feel best in and hold your head high.

I personally would wear white but only specific items- for instance a white classic button down can definitely be worn year round. A sweater in winter white? Of course. I might not wear a white skirt to be honest but I wouldn't judge someone who did by any means!
