I'm the PP who mentioned 5 dates, and maybe we're all wired differently, but I am falling/have fallen? for someone who made zero impression on me the first, second, or probably 22nd time I met him. Granted those times weren't on dates, it was through work, and we're not married, so I have no idea how sexfull or sexless that could turn out to be years from now, but he's the person I dream about (literally), the first one I think about in the morning and the last one I want to talk to at night.

I knew my DH for a year -- never "attracted" to him in that way. But I *loved* spending time with him (he is super witty, clever and smart).

Fast forward -- together 15 years and married 10+. 2 children.

So worth thinking outside the box to the "traditional" love at forat sight BS Disney taught me. BS!

My DH is best friend. Developed over a year that grew into a great, deep love. We are (by far) the happiest couple in our circle. All of my "love at first sight" friends are now divorced or marriage in trouble.

I think girls a sold a bill of goods about what to look for in a partner. They need to build a better foundation before marrying -- way more that having that "spark" on day one.

And btw, our sex life is great. But our foundation is there.
