I loosely did a schedule when I was better at meal planning just to keep ideas rotated -
Monday- soup/salad
Tuesday-grill something
Wednesday - pasta
Thursday- pizza take out
Friday- roast chicken
Weekends - leftovers or go out
This way instead of "what should we make on monday" it was, "I need a good soup recipe". I almost always try new recipes, so it helped to have a general idea narrowed down while looking.
